Her personal connection to South Devon cattle runs deep, as she and her husband manage a pedigree herd of 100 cows, supplying their family butcher shop. “I look forward to meeting all existing society members and supporting in whatever way I can,” Anna adds. In her role, Anna will focus on promoting the South Devon breed, engaging with members, and developing initiatives that highlight the breed’s qualities and benefits.

Hannah Metcalfe – Office Administrator

“I did my placement year with Pedigree Livestock Services which gave me an insightful experience into the industry,” Hannah explains. “I’m fortunate to come back and advance my experiences and knowledge.”
Hannah’s farming background in the Lake District National Park, where her family has been based for over a century, provides her with practical experience. She has also started her own pedigree flock of Traditional Bluefaced Leicester sheep and has extensive experience with cattle, which she finds highly beneficial in her work with South Devons. “I am very much looking forward to working with The South Devon breed and supporting the members.” Hannah said.
In addition to her administrative duties, Hannah will handle registrations, membership inquiries, DNA testing, and support for shows and sales.
