The South Devon Herd Book Society is delighted to invite farmers, industry professionals and beef enthusiasts to our upcoming Development Day on Thursday 20th November at Hill Farm, Haversham, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK19 7DY.

This year’s event promises to be one of our most exciting yet, bringing together leading experts from across the beef industry for a day full of insight, innovation and practical learning.

Attendees will hear from AHDB, who will be sharing the latest updates on both domestic and global beef markets—an invaluable session for anyone looking to stay informed in a fast-moving sector. ABP will be on hand to offer expert guidance on selecting cattle for slaughter, helping producers optimise value and performance.

We’re also excited to welcome Shearwell Data, who will showcase the newest advancements in farm technology, and Towcester Vets, who will present on the benefits of pelvic scoring and its role in improving herd health and breeding outcomes.

Alongside the talks, visitors will enjoy a guided farm tour, offering a closer look at operations here at Hill Farm.

And of course, no good event is complete without great food. Annabel’s Farm will be catering with mouth-watering South Devon beef burgers and brisket rolls—a perfect way to round off the day.
