Earlier this year the Society decided to offer to its members the independent measuring service managed by NBDC (National Bovine Data Centre).  Council agreed to offer the first 20 herds a financial incentive of £100 each, and already those 20 herd places have been filled.  The Society looks forward to seeing a roll-out of the service, which will enable herds to benchmark and assess their female breeding stock, at the same time as providing potential buyers a valuable insight into breeding potential.
